A new case study released today outlines the challenges faced by SmartIPX when working with Stour Marine, a UK Tier One Mobile Network Operator (MNO), in transferring their analogue telecommunications services to a fully IP platform.
After being personally referred to Stour Marine, SmartIPX worked with Chief Executive Officer Leo Bartle and Chief Technical Officer Ollie Potts using their voice Platform as a Service (vPaaS) to complete migration to a Next Generation All IP Network. This allowed Stour Marine to remove all capital expenditure, reduce their time to deploy, expand their network operational support and future proof their voice switching infrastructure.
SmartIPX’s vPaaS bridges Stour Marine to their customers and suppliers and lets them see what is going on. It’s at the centre of the entire offering to their clients. It allows for control and scale, while enabling both operational and board level staff to keep an eye on what’s going on.
The partnership between Stour Marine and SmartIPX has been a complete success. “I have no negative feedback. Everything we’ve asked of SmartIPX has been done,” said Potts. Bartle added: “They took the time to understand the business and this was unique. They had a great solution: a fully featured, high capacity platform with a superb support wrap-around. We were very excited to work with SmartIPX from the beginning,”
For Paul Tindley, CEO of SmartIPX, working with exceptional people has been a major reward. “When working as a trusted partner with service providers such as Stour Marine, leveraging technologies, optimising systems, aligning people and infrastructure collaboratively, is a challenge we excel at.
“Our mission is to be the network operations partner of choice for high growth communication service providers. Our business investment on behalf of our MVNE and vPaaS shared services reflects a new approach to better network operations,” he added.
