ISO 9001:2015 certification demonstrates quality of service offered by the triumvirate of first in class technology, fantastic processes and a highly skilled team operating under a top rated management, with vastly improved company-wide processes.

The SmartIPX executive and management operations team have demonstrated their commitment to continuous performance improvement by transitioning to  ISO 9001:2015 certification. Although companies have three years to comply with the new revisions, SmartIPX elected to accelerate the process to meet the requirements of the certification with NQA at the  first available opportunity.

Gaining the updated certification for another three years is a clear demonstration of the quality of management processes which shows how the SmartIPX triumvirate of “best in breed” technology, repeatable processes and a highly skilled team are brought together to meet service demands.

Issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), a global body made up of representatives from national standards organisations, ISO 9001:2015 is the internationally recognised standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS). It is the most widely used QMS standard in the world, with more than 1.1 million certificates issued to organisations in 178 countries.

The awarding of the certification encompasses the entire organisation and requires the entire company from senior management down to be on board, not just the Quality Department. To achieve ISO 9001 certification an organisation needs to demonstrate through an external audit that it can meet the regulatory requirements and apply the system effectively to be of real benefit to its customers throughout the entire company.

For SmartIPX, who have held an ISO 9001 certification since 2011, the decision to apply for the upgraded standard was a “no brainer”. Providing first class technology and having a 24/7 NOC at the heart of London’s Docklands are only two elements of the whole – having the best business processes in place also ensures their partners receive the highest Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) available.

As SmartIPX CEO Paul Tindley says:

“We are proud to hold ISO 9001:2015 accreditation with NQA. Everyone at SmartIPX is totally committed to and very proud of setting and achieving quality performance standards that meet and often exceed our customers’ expectations.”

SmartIPX Managing Director Carol Tindley confirmed the management team’s commitment to ISO 9001:2015. She says:

“We recognise that in order to provide and maintain a consistently high quality in the work we undertake, an effective Quality Management System is necessary so as to ensure that proper communication, work control and accountable records are generated for all work undertaken.”

For partners looking for a telecoms partner organisation, the benefits of SmartIPX having the ISO 9001 certification are many and varied:

  • As a demonstration that SmartIPX knows and understands statutory and regulatory requirements and how they can impact their business
  • As a demonstration that SmartIPX can deliver services that consistently meet customer requirements
  • As a demonstration that SmartIPX have proven business credentials independently verified against a globally recognised industry standard
  • As a demonstration that SmartIPX has improved risk management and greater consistency and traceability of services, enabling problems to be identified easier and avoided or rectified quickly.
